Remembering Judy MacWilliams
 Our REALTOR® family has sadly lost one of its dedicated, passionate members – Judy MacWilliams. Throughout her career as a REALTOR®, Judy served on the Board of Directors as Secretary, Treasurer, President- Elect and President. She will be greatly missed and our condolences go out to her family and friends.
NAR: Housing and Economic Forecast Solidifying
Growth in home sales and prices is contributing to a broader improvement in the overall economy, aided in part by current homeownership tax treatment, according to presentations at a residential real estate forum during the National Association of REALTORS® Midyear Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo. NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun said a multiyear housing recovery is likely. “Steady job creation and household formation have been helping to unleash a pent-up demand in the housing market,” he said. Listing contracts are most certainly an important part of Realtors® day to day activities.  President’s Message

The passing of the Association’s past president Judy MacWilliams came to me as quite a shock. In my eyes, Judy has always been larger than life. She had a flair for the dramatic, a steel will and a heart of gold. Once you met Judy, you never forgot her.
Judy first entered my life when I was the executive officer of what is now the CDBIA. She was the association president at that time and she was determined to establish a productive relationship between the CDBIA and the Association of REALTORS®. In her graceful style, Judy came to CDBIA functions and insisted that I come to REALTOR® functions. There was no saying “no” to Judy, so along I came.
Judy has had some health issues recently and endured heartache over the years. Through it all though, she maintained her demeanor of elegance.
We have lost a very passionate member of our REALTOR® family. It was an honor to have known Judy MacWilliams.
May God bless you, Judy. Rest in peace my friend.
